One of the Midlands leading IT and business software providers is investing further in the next generation with the appointment of a new apprentice.
Kidderminster-based Minster Micro Computers Ltd has taken on 17-year-old Nicole Heaton as a digital marketing apprentice - part of its ongoing commitment to providing career opportunities to young local talent in the county.
Kidderminster teenager Nicole will spend the next 12 months working closely with the award-winning firms marketing team, while also undertaking a level three diploma in digital marketing.
As part of her role she will support the creation of Minsters marketing campaigns and further develop the firms blogs, social media presence and website content also helping to coordinate events and the companys public relations programme.
Nicole will also work closely with the Worcester Road firms management team to learn more about the business and its clients, with the potential to secure a full-time post next year.
Minsters financial director Susan Marlow, explained: As a business we are at the forefront of new technology and IT systems in business but we also see the importance of investing in young, talented people and giving them the chance to shine.
Weve been delighted with the progress our current apprentices have made and it was the right time to bring in another high calibre apprentice on the all-important marketing side as we showcase ourselves in new markets and launch new products.
Nicole is already proving to be the perfect fit and a great asset. She constantly wants to develop herself and has the perfect blend of skills, ideas and energy we need for the future.
Nicole Heaton added: To join the team at Minster is an amazing opportunity for me and I am looking forward to playing a role in the companys future.
Nicole joins Minsters three current IT and engineering apprentices who joined the business last year.
