As a Made in the Midlands Gold member, Minster has taken an active role within MIM’s Mastermind sessions, addressing the issues that British businesses are facing. We believe that this year has highlighted many factors within modern society, not only the sheer resilience of the British manufacturing industry in their monumental efforts to support the NHS, but also the true sense of community within industries; which seems to be a driving force that will hopefully see us through these unprecedented circumstances.
In amongst the chaos, we believe that businesses have begun to realize the importance of a strong IT support provider. Minster is proud to be a key element in supporting our customer’s transition to a remote working model; including the set-up of remote servers and VPNs. Our continued efforts throughout these stressful few months have proved vital to our clients who have had no choice but to close their business premises and ensure that all their employees can access software and data from their homes.
In addition to this, we have been providing customers with Microsoft packages that have enabled them to utilize software such as Microsoft Teams; this software has allowed a multitude of companies to keep up high levels of communication amongst colleagues, as well as customers, in order for them to continue to run their business efficiently.
Another issue that needs to be addressed within the technical side of a business is the ability to back up and secure company data. Many businesses have been using ‘old fashioned’ methods of physical data backups, however many have not been able to do so due to premise closure. We have been helping various organizations to switch over to online cloud backups; ensuring that all of their data is secure and protected.

Their perseverance, combined with the heartwarming support of our customers, has allowed us to continue to deliver our gold standard of support throughout the past few, somewhat challenging, months.
